Hi, I'm Ping!

I'm an emerging interior designer in my final year of BA (Hons) Interior design course at Kingston University at Kingston School of Art. Originally from Bangkok, Thailand, I embarked on a pivotal journey travelling overseas to pursue my fervent ambition of becoming an interior designer. This aspiration towards the field sparked during a fortunate opportunity to shadow an interior design firm in my final year of secondary education. Since then, I have continuously honed my skills and pushed the boundaries of my creativity throughout my undergraduate studies.

I find enjoyment in refining my design concepts through the iterative processes of sketching and model making. Additionally, I thrive within collaborative settings, where I engage in the helpful exchange of ideas with my colleagues. Recently, I have developed a keen interest in material research, exploring potential for integrating innovative materials to address sustainability challenges in today’s world. My final major project looked at utilising human-hair waste as a biomaterial to activate a circular process.

Acknowledging the impact of the built environment, decisions made by us designers can play a big role. It is the blend of problem-solving and passion to create that excites me about this field. As an emerging interior designer, I aspire to bring together my creativity and skills acquired from my degree along with past experiences to fulfil my goal of creating spaces that not only respond to the client's needs but also hold transformative potential on a broader scale: socially, economically, and environmentally.
